Our About Us Page

Learn all About Us! Stacy and Duane Gardner are self taught Artists. We started out in the Awards and Recognition business 6 years ago. Duane received his CRS (Certified Recognition Specialist) designation from the Awards and Recognition Association in 2005 and is working to became a CRM (Certified Recognition Master).

We soon realized that creating awards for Corporate and Private Clients, though very profitable, was not as rewarding as creating our own work and sharing it with others. So 3 years ago, while still remaining active with the ARA, we took all of the things we love; the outdoors, travel animals, photography plus Duane's background in Graphic Art (he calls himeself an Applied Graphic Artist) wood work and other fabrication mediums and put them all together to create our own Unique Art Form. Now Duane allocates 100% of his time to our art and our business.

Stacy Enterprises is the combination of all of these characteristics and provides us with a forum to different types of presentation to share our images and our art. We have combined the use of ceramic tile and stone, with wood work and graphic design to create unique, one of a kind images and presentation which have been received well everywhere we have exhibited.

At the present, Duane is working toward his dergee in Wildlife Photography with the New York Institute of Photography, working in the studio and roaming the desert in our four wheel drive van in search of Wild Horses and Ghost Towns to photograph.

I am still working full time as Sr. Vice President of Technical Marketing with a local Computer Company, but really love to get out in the field and put My photographic skills to the test. I really enjoy macro photography and once spent over 2 hours prone in the sand, rocks and giggle weed photographing a lizard. He was a real HAM and seemed to enjoy posing for me! I also enjoy working in the studio with Duane, editing photographs and working on my own line of Unique Photo Greeting Cards.

Our two Labs, Taz and Jake enjoy traveling with us. In fact, we jokingly call our van the Canine Condo because the interior was designed with their comfort in mind. The good folks at Sportsmobile West, Alan and Liz, made all of our wild ideas into reality!

Our photography gear, laptops, hard drives, clothes and other supplies are, however, stowed where ever we can find the room. Wouldn't want to disturb Taz! He likes to travel in comfort(?) whenever possible!

An About Us News Flash!

While attending the ARA Show in Las Vegas this February, Duane earned his CRM (Certified Recognition Master) designation with the Awards and Recognition Association. This required 170 hours of classroom study and a minium 1200 word thesis on an industry related topic.

After the show, we headed back out to the Wheeler Pass Horse Management Area to do more Wild Horse photography. Which you can see in Photo Gallery 3. We have always said, "all of our best friends have four legs".

This picture shows Duane using patience, the cover of surrounding vegetation and a 400mm lens to photograph a band of Wild Horses.
